Simply known as Faife, he learned to cook from an early age in Cuba, mostly out of necessity, making his own lunches, while his parents were busy working. He would develop a passion for cooking over time, and with some inspiration from his mother, Mirian. 

 

Faife has 10 years of restaurant management experience in Cuba. Shortly after arriving in Canada, he started working for Peller Estates Winery where he worked various positions until he moved up to Bar Supervisor. After working for Peller for 7 years, he decided to follow his dreams and open up his first restaurant. 

 

In 2012, Faife opened Mojito House Bar & Restaurant, bringing Cuban cuisine and his version of the famous mojito to Niagara Falls. After making a solid name for the business, he sold it and took a break from the restaurant industry. 

 

Now he’s back, with another great vision and concept, with the hopes of welcoming locals and tourists alike to the downtown core to enjoy an authentic Cuban ambiance and cuisine…not to mention, the delicious signature cocktails.
